Swiss Institute of Tech picks IBM hot water HPC

The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich has chosen IBM's hot water-cooled supercomputer, dubbed the Aquasar. IBM claims the technology consumes up to 40% less energy than a comparable air-cooled machine, through the use of wasted heat. Integrator MTI has shifted its first Vblock 1 solution within Europe to manage service provider Cobweb.
